This financial option includes all the dues and fees where you pay a specific amount of money to the Government, make a charitable donation to an NGO (Maltese registered only) and a mandatory renting of any residential property in Gozo and South of Malta for at least five years.

Reduced Contribution €350,000+

This financial contribution is slightly different from the full Contribution option, where you can directly purchase a residential property in Gozo and South of Malta. Apart from that, you are also obliged to pay a reduced amount to the Government and the same amount to a Maltese-registered NGO.

Eligibility Criteria

While moving or applying to any foreign country, you are required to meet various requirements. Consequently, go through the following list of eligibility criteria that you should meet to apply for the Malta Permanent Residency Program (MPRP). 

  • You should be non-EU, non-Swiss, and non-EEA nationals
  • Authentic health certificate from any reputable healthcare center 
  • Be above 18 years of age or older
  • Proof of regular and steady source of income
  • Proof of at least €500,000 of capital with €150,000 as financial capital
  • Clean criminal record

Eligible Dependents that you can include in an application are: 

  • The spouse of the applicant
  •  Unmarried children under 21 years of age, and dependent parents of either yourself or your spouse 
  • Children over the age of 21, but no older than 24, if they are studying.

Restrictions: All Nationalities are eligible to apply for a residency in Malta.

Permanent Residency in Malta
As soon as you fulfill all the requirements and pay the contribution amount, you'll be issued a certificate of residence. Your biometric data will be collected in Malta to help you get a Malta residence card.
